The JPS holds its national meetings every spring and autumn. In the Annual
Meetings, scientists in all 19 sub-fields of physics gather in one hall in
attendance of a series of lectures. In the Autumn/Spring Meetings (when the
Annual Meeting takes place in the autumn, there is a Spring Meeting. When the
Annual Meeting takes place in the spring, there is an Autumn Meeting), the venue
is divided in two. In both meetings, as many as 5,000 researchers, educators and
students participate in the over 3,000 lectures and debate sessions and
symposia. During the meetings, an exhibition of research equipment and
facilities and books related to physics is carried out, providing an important
arena for the communication between the physics community and the equipment and
publishing industries.
In 2012, Autumn Meeting took place as below.
