We would like to offer a 2027 membership fee waiver to those members who were affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake. Please submit the application form along with documents (such as a disaster victim certification from a public institution) to the JPS Secretariat by e-mail or mail by Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
If you know of any members in your area who are affected by the earthquake, please let them know about the membership fee waiver.
Founded in 1877, JPS is an academic society with 15,000 members, 12 Nobel laureates in physics and 3 in chemistry.
